Junior Marissa Coombs ran the best 6K race of her Virginia Wesleyan career on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Cross Country National Championship.

Junior Marissa Coombs and senior Trevor Maloney highlighted the Marlin performances as the Virginia Wesleyan College cross country teams competed at the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional held at Berry College.

Junior Marissa Coombs is slated to be the first female from Virginia Wesleyan to compete in the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship when she runs on Saturday. The meet will be held in Louisville by host school, Spalding University.

Senior Trevor Maloney and junior Marissa Coombs earned All-ODAC honors as the Virginia Wesleyan College cross country teams competed at the ODAC Championship hosted by Washington and Lee University on Saturday.
