The Virginia Wesleyan College men's and women's indoor track and field teams were picked sixth in preseason polls released by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) on Friday afternoon.

Several Marlins made impressive debuts to the 2015-16 indoor track and field season at the Christopher Newport University Holiday Open on Saturday.

On Wednesday Oct. 7th, Virginia Wesleyan Track & Field will host the First Annual Golf Classic to honor Johnny Jackrabbit” Brown and Richard Snake” Drake at Sewells Point Golf Club. All proceeds will go to the VWC Track & Field endowment.

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) released the winter and spring sportsmanship teams from this past year and 13 Virginia Wesleyan College student-athletes found their names amongst the teams.

Virginia Wesleyan s men s and women s track and field programs both received all-academic recognition by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association of America (USTFCCCA).

The men s athletic teams at Virginia Wesleyan College performed so well across the board in the 2014-15 season that the Marlins captured their first ODAC Men s Commissioner s Cup in school history.
